GRS Coating Services LLC (Garek Raychel Sophia) started in the fall of 2010, with $500.00 zero customers, a ride with my father to
Minnesota to get a 6x6x8oven and zero business experience. 5 yrs earlier I purchased a Powder Coating book from eBay for $35.00 and had been practicing powder coating with an apartment oven off and on pushing myself to keep improving on Quality, with Absolute Attention to Detail on parts in my parent’s garage for my father’s race car and parts for my buddy Harry and Bobby.

2010 was an exciting, but hectic journey I had my very first ever shop, it was literally a 1 car garage in the back of a machine shop in West Newton, Pa. I had expanded into media blasting not only for small parts but for residential railings for the same customer that I have to this day 16yrs later.

2011 involved a move to our 2 nd shop in Charleroi, Pa, which was 1100sqft, but that was short lived because the business was expanding faster than I could for see at that time. Oven was expanded to 6x6x16 .

2013 in our 3 rd location in Rostraver Township, Pa, I had my very own blasting room at this location. This was also when I had to
decide to introduce employees in the business with the hope that I could find someone with the same attention to detail that was separating the business from everyone else. We would again outgrow that facility of 3000sqft.

2015 directly on our 5 th anniversary we moved to what would be our 4 th location in Monongahela, Pa. A 5000sqft facility on 3acres
that was paved and had a lay down yard for bigger jobs and enough area to build a 18×36 blast room. 2015 was also the year that we painted the Monongahela Incline, which was at the time our biggest single job to date. We made Monongahela our home base for 9yrs, growing the business from the ground up with zero grants, zero bank loans. Oven was expanded to 6x6x24’.6” to accommodate just about anything. That is also where I was approached by our powder coating customers to apply industrial coatings. At that same time, we started a mobile blasting and painting off shoot as well. Those 9yrs really set the attitude and tone for the company with the foundation of Quality, Honesty and Integrity really started to manifest in everything that was sent out of the facility and on site with the employees being the driving factor.

2025 our 10 th year in business, saw the expansion of our footprint into where we are now. 30,000sqft on 27 flat acres in the heart of
Greene County, Pa The facility boasts a 60×40 blast room, 80×60 paint bay from which we can apply coatings on 4 different jobs
with 4 different colors at the same time. Powder Coating side 5000sqft is the same dimensions as the whole facility in
Monongahela where we applied all powder and industrial coatings.

Present Day 2026 As l reminisce and look ahead, I’m grateful for the companies and people that we have successfully worked for
and provided our services for over the last 16+yrs. Never in my wildest dreams did I anticipate coating pieces that would reach
every continent except Antarctica. As we have since 2010, we are looking forward to including you in the GRS Family! None of
this would be possible without our employees past and present, our partners and most importantly our Lord and Savior Jesus
Christ!
